San Diego Archaeological Center Education Program Coordinator Annemarie Cox is a qualified Merit Badge Counselor for Archaeology. Ms. Cox conducts Project Archaeology programs which allow the scout to fulfill a majority of the requirements. After completing the Archaeology Merit badge requirements under self-direction, the remaining work can be sent to the Center with the blue card and SASE for sign off.

Career Exploration Try-It
The San Diego Archaeological Center is pleased to offer Project Archaeology programs for the San Diego-Imperial Council’s Career Exploration Try-It for Brownie Girl Scouts.
Tools from Native Americans who have lived in San Diego County for many generations are on display in the Center’s Museum. By combining a guided tour of the Cultural Periods of San Diego with a number of hands-on activities, the Project Archaeology session can fulfill all requirements for this enriching Try-It. Prepare your troop for their visit by downloading “”What is Archaeology?” from the Center’s website.
Cost: $4.00 per girl (patch not included)
Minimum Group Size: 15
Maximum Group Size: 30
Career Exploration Try-It Classes are offered Monday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each session is 2.5 hours in length. Times can be modified for special circumstances.
