Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Project Archaeology Assistant will assist the Center Education Department in the promotion and delivery of Project Archaeology.
General Responsibilities
Assist education department in developing, planning and implementing Project Archaeology
Handle questions students might have during instructional period and subsequent lab analysis lessons.
Instruct students on experimental archaeology lessons.
Responsible to be knowledgeable of Center safety and emergency plan procedures.
Qualifications
Must enjoy interacting with children, educators and chaperones
Ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with students and adults.
Ability to handle multiple functions.
Ability to perform administrative operations as needed for position.
Experience using office machines and computer a plus.
Knowledge of San Diego history and archaeology and Center educational programs preferred.
Reliability, enthusiastic personality, honesty, friendliness and punctuality are of utmost importance.
